Kids Discover Magazine
Kids Discover was established in 1991. Its targeted age
range is 7-12 (Grades 2-6), but it can be used with older students as
kicking-off points for more in-depth study. For this reason, these
magazines make great foundations for unit studies.
Each issue includes a centerfold poster about the subject, and there
are usually two pages in the back dedicated to activities, such as word
searches, cross-word puzzles, and quizzes. There’s also a list for
further reading.
The remaining pages, usually done in two-page spreads, cover the subject and are colorfully illustrated.
