The Digital Divide

First and foremost, when approached with this topic in early January, I had no idea what the "Digital Divide" was. The research that was done on the topic and the implications that were searched about the divide have taught me many things. I think that it is important for everyone to know that there is a separation of people in the world based off of the Digital Divide and the limitations that some people/countries have. With this said, I have also never used Google Sites and I have never built my own website. I have completely tried to utilize all tools possible for this site, and I am very thankful that I now know what it takes to build a site through Google. I now have the knowledge about how easy some things are, and also how difficult small tasks can be through a website creator.

Putting my learnings together, I think that it is important for me to understand the "Digital Divide" because it might make a difference in how people see or don't see my company one day. I need to learn how to reach people, and ultimately, how to help people. I also believe that website design is crucial in any business in this era. It is pertinent that I learn these aspects of business because when first starting, I will not have the means to hire someone to do it for me.
